Making SURE you get the right RV air conditioner.- Monday, February 18, 2013

With only a few exceptions, the brand of all your RV air conditioner components must match-- Dometic, Atwood, and Coleman don't manufacture their ceiling units (or air distribution boxes) to work with anyone else's roof (or top) units.  So, if you air repairing or replacing only one component, first find your model number so that you will get the right parts.  Even upgrading, like adding a heat strip, is possible on only some manufacturers' models.

However, if you are 'starting from scratch' where you have no air conditioner presently or will be doing a total replacement, you only need to make sure you get a 'complete' air conditioner or heat pump or Turbokool from your favorite manufacturer.  Most manufacturers use two part numbers and ship in two boxes by Freight Truck.  Don't be afraid of a freight delivery, by the way.  If your delivery point is a commercial, business address (has business hours, business phone, and is accessible by a large semi-truck for unloading with a dock or forklift), you will not only receive your RV products fast, but you will also enjoy Free Shipping from RV Supply Warehouse.  And, if you need large items shipped to your residential address (which requires the carrier to reload your items onto a smaller truck with liftgate), you still get it fast and Free right to your home or RV location.

Will you be installing an RV air conditioner in the roof of a Motorhome (Class A, Class C, or Class B), Travel Trailer, Fifth Wheel Trailer, Pop-Up Camper, Truck Camper, or Hybrid with a 14" square framed and wired (with 120 volts) opening? Complete Coleman, Dometic (DuoTherm) or Atwood rooftop air conditioners are also a great choice for toll booth kiosks, cargo trailers, concessions, and many remote applications.) If you are replacing an existing unit in an RV with ducting, choose a Ducted unit. Otherwise, you will need a Non-ducted unit which will blow cold air directly from the unit.

A "Regular" profile roof unit is most popular and economical while a "Low-Profile" is available for applications like tall RV's.

A ducted ceiling assembly may be used with a "wired" thermostat which mounts on the wall and can control both appliances for heat/cool convenience.

The most popular non-ducted ceiling assemblies are the Universal cool only and Universal with heat strip (which provides a 5600 btu heater right in the ceiling unit). Both units have all controls right on the unit.

An RV air conditioner + heat pump is like 2 appliances in 1!  The same air conditioning components of the unit will heat your RV during cool weather.  When you need heat, you'll have the choice of 'fuel':  electric when you use the heat pump or propane gas when you use your furnace.

Most asked question at RV Supply Warehouse...- Tuesday, July 17, 2012

The #1 question we are asked the most here at RV Supply Warehouse is "what does 'includes Free Shipping' mean?"  So glad you asked!

Here's an example of what we mean by "includes Free Shipping":  Let's say you find an RV air conditioner on our site for a great price.  You checkout and securely pay the great price you saw on the item.  No extra shipping or handling fees or charges.

Then, in 1 to 3 days a truck is in your driveway unloading that shiny new air conditioner.

Your order is eligible for Free Ground Shipping anytime your order totals over $150 and ships to any address in the continental United States.  In a few cases, a Residential Delivery Fee is added for large items that must ship Freight to a residential address.  Even this fee can be avoided by getting your items delivered to a Commercial Business address.

How much should it cost to have an rv air conditioner shipped? - Monday, June 11, 2012

$90.00?  $129.00?  $75.00?

Maybe you've seen even higher numbers.  Truth is, the shipping cost of an air conditioner IS significant, especially since it must ship via truck freight.  But, have you noticed that other websites often don't want you to know the total price (with shipping and handling) of your air conditioner purchase?  You cannot find your total price until you add it to your cart and complete your shipping information.

RV Supply Warehouse is different.  We try to simplify every step of your online shopping experience.  Any RV air conditioner shipping to any address in the continental United States, ships FREE.

Period.
