Portable Water Softener (with PVC Handle & Mechanical Water Meter)
C&M's Travelin' Soft Water is light-weight and easy to transport. Only uses 1 lb. of table salt, regenerates in only 15 minutes, only 21" tall and weighs 24 lb. The C&M Travelin' Soft Water Softener is designed to remove hard water contaminates from the water to provide you with soft water. With soft water your plumbing and water heater last longer and also gives you increased lathering of hand soaps and shampoos.
HOOK UP INSTRUCTIONS
1.) Connect water hose to water supply.
2.) Connect hose to inlet side of water softener.
3.) connect the hose ot the outlet side of softener and also to RV water supply inlet connection.
4.) Turn dial on water timer to 1-1/2 hour setting. You will now have approximately 200 gallons of soft water. This setting will increase or decrease depending on water hardness). The water meter will automatically shut off when it is time to regenerate softener.
REGENERATION INSTRUCTIONS
1.) Shut off water supply and unhook inlet water supply. Leave the water meter in the Off position.
2.) Remove the hose cap from the top of the softener.
3.) Use a gallon bucket of water and mix in a pound of table salt. It is recommended to add a few ounces of IRON OUT to the salt and water mix, Let salt dissolve completely (5 minutes).
4.) Use a funnel to pour all the salt water into the top of the water softener (water will run out of inlet side).
5.) Let water softener sit for about 5 min. When done, re-connect water inlet hose and disconnect hose from outlet side of meter and reset meter to 1-1/2 hours.
6.) Turn on water supply and rinse softener with a slow stream of water for two or three minutes or until there is no salt taste.
7. Turn off water, reconnect water supply to meter and Enjoy Soft Water.
