Brakebuddy
Tow Brake System - Brake Buddy
To install the Brakebuddy, simply: (1) Place the Brakebuddy on the floorboard of the driverside seat of the towed vehicle and attach the clevis assembly to the towed vehicle's brake pedal; (2) adjust the seat forward until it contacts the Brakebuddy; and (3) plug the Brakebuddy into the towed vehicle's 12 volt lighter receptacle.
The Brakebuddy will apply the brakes in the towed vehicle only when you apply the brakes in the motor coach. Downshifting or using exhaust brakes will not affect this system. You may tow up to four days without having to worry about the battery in the towed vehicle, depending on the driving terrain and traffic situations. The Brakebuddy is small, lightweight, and fully adjustable to accomodate the different needs of each towed vehicle. The towed vehicle easily becomes "dead weight" and will push as you try to slow or stop. In many cases, the towed vehicle can put so much stress on the motor coach's brakes that they may fade or completely fail. A towed vehicle also will greatly increase the distance it takes you to stop. The Brakebuddy will take the entire weight of the towed vehicle off the motor coach's overburdened brakes.
With towing laws now enforced throughout the U.S. and Canada, don't get caught without the Brakebuddy. Designed and manufactured exclusively for the motorhome industry, Brakebuddy is the number one choice for people who require a safe and effective braking system for their towed vehicle. Manufactured in the U.S.A. by Master Concepts, Inc., Brakebuddy will help you put on the brakes safely, effectively and inexpensively, and will reduce your RV's and towed vehicle's stopping distance up to 50 percent.
The Brake Buddy includes the Breakaway and Alert System. The Brake Buddy is constructed of ABS Polycarbonate, 12 volts, amperage draw of only 8 amps, 3-year limited warranty on parts and labor, 30-day full money-back guarantee, factory direct 2-year extended warranty available for $50. Item No: 39500
