The foundation of this new line is a proprietary urethane alloy material (TPU) used to construct the air core. Similar to material used in the medical industry, it is airtight, durable and dependable. TPU creates even better surface feels and mattress response characteristics. Comfortaire has discovered that they could bring you more individual sleeping surface and could further enhance the feel of the sleep by moving their new air core to the surface of the mattress. Industry standard is to place the air cores inside a foam encasement. To do this, the air core must be approximately 4 inches smaller than the dimensions of the mattress. With a queen size mattress you give up the ability to adjust approximately 15 percent of the sleeping surface. Is it any wonder that some of our competitors have introduced "super sized" mattresses? With this new low profile, air cores and box top designs give you Edge to Edge adjustability. The air is closer to you, giving you full control of your sleeping surface.
The IFC2001 air control system is state of the art in helping you manage your individual comfort and support. The dual controls allow each sleeper to customize their own sleeping comfort: first inflate bed to 100%, then lie down and release air until you've reached your perfect comfort level. Now leave control at this setting and forget it. (Don't worry about low pressure at high altitudes either. Only Comfortaire constructs their air chambers sufficiently to withstand these low pressures even at 100% inflation!)
* Ships via UPS right to your door. You assemble by stacking pieces together.
* Modular pieces can be replaced individually if damaged. No need to replace entire mattress.
