Mounting Kit for 25.5K & Low Profile Super 5th
The "ordinary" mounting bracket kit and the only choice available for other brands of 5th wheel hitches. Small "L" brackets are bolted to the frame of the truck - and base rails are installed in the bed.
Least expensive, but weakens the truck frame with the added drilling, and only half the bolts in the base rails are actually transferring the trailer weight to the frame - half are just attached to the sheet metal in the bed.
Inherently stronger square shaped base rails for 16K & 20.5K hitches provide tighter, stronger connections and less "bump" while towing.
25.5K & 25.5K Low Profile hitches utilize heavy duty "flat" base rails and piano hinge connections for stronger, tighter connection while towing larger trailers - and for a smoother bed when the hitch is removed.
