Do-It-Yourself Finished Sliding Shelves from Brambuilt Brackets
Pull-out shelves, shelves that slide, roll-out shelves or sliding shelves - Whatever you want to call them, they make the chore of finding things in your cabinets an absolute pleasure. Perfect possibilities for your top or bottom of wardrobes/closets, bathroom, under dinette benches/sofas, exterior compartments (with the 4 coats of lacquer), and then, of course, at home, too: kitchen, pantry, bath, utility, and garage cabinets. Build these "custom" shelves yourself and save! Just measure, cut, assemble and install! Simply order kits by DEPTH needed.
With 100 lb. load rating, the shelf is engineered with dovetail grooves so it can be sized down to fit cabinet openings from 6" to 32-1/2" wide. Sides and back are 1/2", 9-ply Baltic birch. Building these shelves is simple. Just measure your cabinet opening. Deduct 1” for the drawer guides. Cut the front, back, and bottom to the width you measured minus the 1” for guides. Apply yellow glue to the dovetails and slide sides of shelf into front and back. Screw bottom to sides and front. Apply guides to shelf. Mount guides in cabinet. Insert shelf into cabinet. Test to make sure the shelf slides nicely and YOU’RE DONE!!!
